# SuperCharting

> SuperCharting is a browser charting platform that is currently free: live charts for Indian markets (NSE, BSE, MCX, NIFTY and BANKNIFTY options), forex, gold and crypto, Pine-compatible scripts, a Strategy Tester and optimiser, Bar Replay, a screener and alerts with webhooks and Telegram.

- What it is: A charting and trading-research workstation that runs in a web browser on desktop and phone. Nothing to install.
- Made by: Jayadev Rana, an independent developer and algo trader (YouTube: @jayadevranaalgo). SuperCharting is independent. TradingView is a trademark of TradingView, Inc.; SuperCharting is not affiliated with it.
- Price: Currently free. No paid plan is required: every account gets the same limits, and a $0 upgrade gives the Premium label for 30 days. Paid plans are listed on the pricing page (US$30 for 1 month, US$150 for 6 months, US$230 for 1 year, paid once with PayPal, no auto-renewal) for when the launch period ends.
- Markets: India: NSE and BSE stocks and indices (NIFTY, BANKNIFTY, SENSEX), index and stock futures, options with an options chain, MCX commodities, from the site's Angel One feed. Forex, gold and CFDs from broker feeds. Crypto spot pairs from Binance, Bybit, OKX, Coinbase and KuCoin, and USDT perpetuals from Binance, Bybit and OKX.
- Charts: Candles, hollow candles, bars, line, area, baseline, Heikin Ashi, high-low, columns, Renko, Kagi, Line break, Point & figure and range charts; intervals from 1 tick and 1 second to 12 months plus custom ones such as 45m or 2D; up to 16 charts per tab with symbol, interval, crosshair and time sync; drawing tools including Fibonacci and Gann.
- Indicators and scripts: More than 200 built-in indicators, indicator templates and indicators on indicators. A Script Editor for Pine-compatible scripts (version 6 syntax) with line-numbered compile errors; scripts can be published to the community library as open-source, protected or invite-only.
- Backtesting: A Strategy Tester with performance summary, trade list, equity curve and per-trade analysis, commission and slippage settings, and an optimiser that searches input ranges in the browser.
- Alerts: Price, indicator, strategy and multi-condition alerts that run on the server, delivered in the app, by Telegram (with a chart picture) or to a webhook; watchlist alerts; alerts do not expire.
- Other tools: Bar Replay, paper trading, a stock / crypto / forex / ETF screener with market-mover lists, heatmaps, technicals and seasonals panels, Indian company fundamentals, chart data export to CSV, community scripts and trading ideas.
- Limits on every account: 16 charts per tab, 50 indicators per chart, 40,000 bars of history per chart, 200 chart pages open at once, 1,000 price alerts, 1,000 technical alerts, 15 watchlist alerts.
- Not included: SuperCharting is not a broker and does not place real orders. Broker connections can be saved on the /brokers page but are being rolled out broker by broker and do not yet change charts or send orders. Not every Pine Script feature runs yet; the editor says which.

## Questions people ask

- Is SuperCharting a free TradingView alternative? Yes, for now. SuperCharting is currently free to use and every account gets limits similar to a paid charting plan: 16 charts per tab, 50 indicators per chart, Bar Replay, second and tick charts and alerts that do not expire. TradingView is a trademark of TradingView, Inc.; SuperCharting is not affiliated with it.
- Can I run Pine Script on SuperCharting? SuperCharting runs Pine-compatible scripts written in version 6 syntax: indicators and strategies, with inputs, plots, alerts and the Strategy Tester. Many open-source scripts can be pasted and run as they are; the Script Editor lists anything it does not support yet; for example, request.security runs on higher timeframes of the chart's own symbol but not on a different symbol.
- Does SuperCharting have NSE, BSE and MCX charts? Yes. NIFTY, BANKNIFTY, SENSEX, every NSE and BSE stock, index and stock futures, options with an options chain, and MCX commodities, live while the exchange is open and the feed allows.
- Which crypto exchanges does SuperCharting chart? Spot pairs from Binance, Bybit, OKX, Coinbase and KuCoin, and USDT perpetual futures from Binance, Bybit and OKX, from the exchanges' own market data.
- Do I need to install anything? No. SuperCharting runs in the browser on Windows, Mac, Linux, Android and iPhone; layouts, watchlists and alerts are saved to your account.
- Who makes SuperCharting? Jayadev Rana, an independent developer and algo trader (YouTube: @jayadevranaalgo). It is not affiliated with TradingView, any exchange or any broker.
- Will SuperCharting stay free? It is free today and no paid plan is required. Paid plans are already priced on the pricing page, so the owner may introduce them later; that is why this site says "currently free" and not "free forever".
- Can SuperCharting place trades? No. It is a charting, backtesting and alerting platform. Paper trading is simulated; alerts can call your own webhook.
