AI chart analysis for Indian stocks: connect your own AI assistant
Connect your own AI assistant to SuperCharting to read your NSE, BSE and MCX charts, check Pine scripts and run backtests. Free for now; no orders placed.
SuperCharting lets you connect your own AI assistant to your account, so the assistant can work with the same charts and tools you do. Ask it to look at NIFTY on the 15-minute chart, write an indicator and put it on your chart, backtest a strategy on BANKNIFTY, or screen for stocks. It answers from real data on your account: the bars, your open charts and the backtest numbers. It does not guess from a picture. SuperCharting is free for now, and creating the connection costs nothing. You use the AI assistant under your own plan with its maker.
What your AI assistant can do on SuperCharting
Once it is connected, the assistant can:
- Read your charts: which symbols, timeframes, indicators and strategies you have open right now.
- Find symbols and prices: search NSE and BSE stocks, indices, futures and options, and MCX commodities; get the latest price; read up to 1,500 recent candles of a symbol on timeframes from 1 minute to 1 month.
- Change your chart: switch the active chart to another symbol or timeframe, including second and tick charts.
- Check and add scripts: compile a Pine script, run it once on a symbol, report errors with line numbers, then put it on your chart or remove one by its title.
- Backtest and optimise: run a Pine strategy on a symbol and timeframe and report net profit, drawdown, win rate, profit factor and the latest trades. It can also search input ranges for the best result.
- Screen and research stocks: run a stock screener query such as
Market cap > 500 AND ROE > 20 AND P/E < 15, and read one company's ratios, growth, latest results and peers. - Manage alerts: list your alerts, create a price alert (optionally sent to your connected Telegram chat), or delete one.
- Draw a chart picture: make a PNG of a symbol's chart, with a Pine script drawn on it if you like.
What it cannot do
- It cannot place orders. SuperCharting does not send orders to any broker.
- It cannot read or enter broker credentials. Broker keys are entered only on the /brokers page, never in a chat.
- It is not advice. The assistant can be wrong, so check what it puts on your chart. Nothing it says is investment advice, and SuperCharting is not registered with SEBI as an adviser or research analyst.
Scripts started by an assistant are limited to two at a time, so a long optimisation may take a while.
How to connect your AI assistant
- Sign in to SuperCharting and open the Account page.
- In the Connect Claude section, click Create access token. The token is shown only once, so copy it straight away.
- Claude Code: the page shows a ready-made command with your token in it. Run it in your terminal.
Other clients: use the server URL and the token the page shows. Any assistant that supports MCP (the Model Context Protocol) with a server URL and a header token can connect.
- Ask your assistant something simple, for example "What charts do I have open in SuperCharting?".
To cut the connection off, click Revoke access on the same page. Creating a new token also stops the old one working.
Example requests
- "Open NSE:NIFTY on the 15-minute chart, add a 20 and 50 EMA, and tell me where price is relative to both."
- "Write a Supertrend strategy, backtest it on NSE:BANKNIFTY 1-hour, and show me the drawdown."
- "Optimise the fast and slow EMA lengths of this strategy on MCX:GOLD1! daily. Ignore results with fewer than 20 trades."
- "Screen India for Market cap > 1000 AND ROE > 18, then show me TCS's last four quarters."
- "Set a price alert when NSE:RELIANCE crosses 3,000 and send it to Telegram."
The assistant does each step with SuperCharting's own tools, then tells you what it did and what it found.
AI help inside SuperCharting itself
You do not need an assistant to get help with scripts. The Script Editor's Auto-fix button repairs common Pine Script errors on every account, and lists every change it made. It has a deeper AI check on accounts the site owner enables. See the Pine Script code checker guide.
Good to know
- Markets. Indian stocks, indices, F&O and MCX are live while the exchange is open. US and world stocks are delayed, usually by about 15 minutes. Details are on the data coverage page.
- Scripts. The engine runs Pine-compatible version 6 scripts, but not every feature is supported. The Pine compatibility page lists what is.
- Backtests. A backtest shows how rules behaved on past data, not what will happen next. Read the backtesting guide before trusting a result.
