TradingView alternative for crypto: free coin charts with indicators
A TradingView alternative for crypto: Binance, Bybit, OKX, Coinbase and KuCoin charts with indicators, Pine-compatible scripts and alerts, currently free.
If you want free crypto charts with indicators in the browser, SuperCharting charts every spot pair on Binance, Bybit, OKX, Coinbase and KuCoin, plus the USDT perpetuals on Binance, Bybit and OKX, under the same symbol names TradingView uses. You get the indicator library, Pine-compatible scripts, the Strategy Tester, alerts by Telegram or webhook, and a crypto screener and coin heatmap. It is currently free to use, and it is a charting tool only: it cannot place orders on any exchange.

Which crypto exchanges and symbols you can chart
SuperCharting reads public market data from five exchanges; no exchange account or key is needed.
| Exchange | Spot | USDT perpetuals | Example symbols |
|---|---|---|---|
| Binance | yes | yes | BINANCE:BTCUSDT, BINANCE:BTCUSDT.P |
| Bybit | yes | yes (linear) | BYBIT:ETHUSDT, BYBIT:BTCUSDT.P |
| OKX | yes | yes (USDT swaps) | OKX:SOLUSDT, OKX:BTCUSDT.P |
| Coinbase | yes | no | COINBASE:BTCUSD, COINBASE:ETHUSD |
| KuCoin | yes | no | KUCOIN:BTCUSDT |
The naming follows TradingView's: exchange, colon, pair, and .P on the end for a perpetual. Layouts, watchlists and scripts that name BINANCE:BTCUSDT.P carry over unchanged. Every trading pair is listed, not only the majors: "pepe" in Symbol Search finds BINANCE:PEPEUSDT.
Crypto charts use UTC by default, with the daily candle opening at 00:00 UTC.
Intervals: minutes, custom, seconds and ticks
The exchanges supply candles for 1, 3, 5, 15 and 30 minutes, 1, 2 and 4 hours, and daily, weekly and monthly bars. Where an exchange lacks one of these (Coinbase has no 3-minute or 2-hour candles, for example), SuperCharting builds it from the next finer candle. History pages back as you scroll left, up to the start of the pair's history or the 40,000-bar limit per chart. Custom timeframes such as 45m or 3h are built from a finer native interval in the same way.
Second and tick charts (1s to 45s, 1t to 1000t) also work on crypto, with one caveat that matters more here than anywhere: the exchanges do not supply second or tick history, so these charts are built from the price updates SuperCharting itself records while someone watches the symbol. Crypto prices refresh at most about once a second, so a "tick" is a price update, not every trade on the exchange, and a pair nobody has watched recently starts with a short chart.
How to chart a crypto pair in SuperCharting
- Sign in (accounts are free today; see /signup) and open the chart.
- Click the symbol name at the top left to open Symbol Search, and click the Crypto chip to show only coins.
- Type the pair, for example "btcusdt". Pick the exchange's line: BINANCE:BTCUSDT for spot, BINANCE:BTCUSDT.P for the perpetual.
- Choose the interval from the interval menu in the chart header, for example 15m.
- Click Indicators and add what you need. The library is modelled on TradingView's open built-in indicators, and you can save a set as a template.
Worked example: BTCUSDT on 15 minutes with RSI and an alert
- Open BINANCE:BTCUSDT and set the interval to 15m.
- Click Indicators, search "rsi" and add Relative strength index. It opens under the price with a 14-bar length and 70 / 30 bands.
- The built-in RSI has no "crosses 30" alert of its own, so use the short "RSI cross alerts" script from the RSI guide: paste it into the Script Editor, save it and press Add to chart.
- Choose Add alert on RSI x… from that indicator's legend menu, pick "RSI crossed below oversold" and set Trigger to Once per bar close, so a dip that recovers inside the candle does not fire.
- Set Expiration (up to Open-ended), then in Notifications choose a Telegram chat or paste a webhook address, and press Create.
An indicator alert runs the script with its default inputs, so change levels in the code. For a plain price level, such as BTCUSDT crossing a round number, a price alert is simpler: right-click the chart at that price and choose Add alert on BTCUSDT at ….
Scripts, backtests and alerts on crypto
- Pine-compatible scripts. Write indicators and strategies in Pine Script v6 syntax in the Script Editor, which checks the code as you type and shows errors with line numbers. They run on crypto charts like any other.
- Strategy Tester. A strategy on BINANCE:BTCUSDT.P gets the full report: key stats, equity curve, performance, trades analysis and the list of trades. Crypto symbols are traded in fractional quantities in the test, so a 10% position on a coin worth tens of thousands is not rounded down to zero. Past results do not guarantee future results; the Strategy Tester guide explains commission and slippage settings.
- Alerts. Price, script, multi-condition and watchlist alerts all work on crypto symbols. Deliver them to Telegram with a chart picture or to your own system by webhook.
- Paper trading. Practise crypto orders with pretend money in the paper trading panel.
Crypto screener, coin heatmap and dominance
- Crypto coins screener. Open Products > Screeners and switch the market chip to Crypto coins. Coins are ranked by market cap with price, 24h change, volume, circulating supply and category, plus Performance and Supply column sets and filters for market cap, 24h change and volume.
- Crypto pairs screener. The Crypto pairs market lists trading pairs on Binance, Bybit, OKX, KuCoin, Bitget, Kraken, Gemini, Bitstamp and MEXC, with RSI and a daily technical rating column, and Exchange, Quote and Chg % 24h filters. Clicking a row charts that pair. Coinbase pairs are deliberately left out, because the data feed reports Coinbase perpetual volume far above the real figure and those rows would top every volume sort.
- Heatmap and dominance. Products > Heatmaps, then pick Crypto coins, top 100: a treemap where tile size is market cap and colour is the change over 1D, 1W, 1M, 3M, YTD or 1Y. Above it a strip shows total crypto market cap, the market excluding Bitcoin, Bitcoin, Ethereum and Tether dominance, and the share outside the top 10. Click any of them to chart it, for example CRYPTOCAP:BTC.D.
These figures come from a public market data feed, cached for about a minute.
What SuperCharting does not do for crypto
A fair comparison has to say this plainly:
- No trading. SuperCharting cannot connect to an exchange account or place, change or cancel orders. Paper trading is simulated.
- Five exchanges as chart feeds. Exchanges outside the five above, decentralised exchanges and on-chain data are not built-in chart feeds. There is no DEX screener.
- No funding rate or liquidation data, and open interest is not plotted on charts. The one place it appears is the Order Block board (Products > Order Block), which ranks the top Binance perpetuals by 24-hour price move and change in open interest.
- Seconds and ticks are recorded, not downloaded, as described above.
- Fewer community extras. TradingView has a far larger library of published scripts and ideas, and native apps; SuperCharting runs in the browser.
Frequently asked questions
Is SuperCharting free for crypto charts?
It is currently free, and every account gets the same limits, including 16 charts per tab and 1,000 price alerts. Paid plans may be introduced later.
What is the symbol for a Binance perpetual?
Add .P to the pair: BINANCE:BTCUSDT.P is the USDT-margined Bitcoin perpetual, BINANCE:BTCUSDT is spot. The same works for Bybit and OKX.
Do I need an exchange account or keys?
No. Chart data comes from each exchange's public market data, and SuperCharting never asks for exchange keys.
Can I run my TradingView scripts on crypto charts?
Scripts written in Pine Script v6 syntax can be pasted into the Script Editor. The editor checks them and shows any error with its line number, so you can see straight away whether a script runs. See writing Pine-compatible scripts online.
Does SuperCharting give buy or sell signals for coins?
No. It is a charting and research tool. Indicators, ratings and backtests are information for your own decisions, not advice.
