What is SuperCharting? A trading chart workstation in your browser
What is SuperCharting: a browser charting workstation with live charts, drawing tools, Pine-compatible scripts, a strategy tester, replay and alerts.
SuperCharting is a charting workstation that runs in a web browser. It puts live charts, drawing tools, indicators, Pine-compatible scripts, a Strategy Tester, Bar Replay, a screener and alerts on one screen, with Indian markets (NSE, BSE, MCX and NFO) alongside forex, gold and other global symbols. You sign up, open a chart and start working; nothing has to be installed.
Who SuperCharting is for
The layout will feel familiar to anyone who has used a modern charting site: a top toolbar for symbol, interval, chart type and indicators, a drawing toolbar on the left, a panel bar on the right and the chart in the middle. It is built for three kinds of trader:
- Discretionary chart readers who want clean candles, Heikin Ashi, Renko or Point & figure charts, trend lines and Fibonacci tools, and several charts side by side.
- Systematic traders who write or adapt indicator and strategy scripts, backtest them in the Strategy Tester and search input ranges with the optimiser.
- Indian market traders who follow NSE:NIFTY, NSE:BANKNIFTY or stocks such as NSE:RELIANCE and want the same tools they use for XAUUSD or EURUSD.
Charts, scripts and backtests are study tools. Nothing in SuperCharting is a buy or sell recommendation.
What is on the screen
Charts
Each chart can be drawn as candles, hollow candles, bars, line, area, baseline, Heikin Ashi, high-low, columns and more, plus the non-time types Renko, Kagi, Line break, Point & figure and Range. The full list and when to use each is in chart types. Intervals run from 1 tick and 1 second up to 12 months, and you can add your own, such as 45 minutes or 2 days, from Add custom interval… in the interval menu.
A layout can hold up to 16 charts, with the symbol, interval and crosshair kept in step if you switch that on. See multi-chart layouts.
Drawing and analysis
The left toolbar carries trend lines, rays, channels, pitchforks, rectangles, text and notes, long and short position tools, the measure tool, brushes, icons, chart patterns and the Fibonacci and Gann families. Drawings are saved with the layout. The drawing tools guide walks through them.
Indicators and scripts
The Indicators button opens a library of more than 200 built-in scripts, from moving averages and RSI to volume profiles and auto chart patterns. The Script Editor on the right panel bar lets you write your own Pine-compatible indicators and strategies, check them, save them and add them to the chart. Strategies open the Strategy Tester with key stats, an equity curve and a list of trades.
Practice, alerts and the rest
- Bar Replay hides the right side of the chart and plays it back bar by bar, so you can practise reading price without knowing what comes next (Bar Replay guide).
- Alerts on price, on script conditions and on whole watchlists keep running after you close the tab, and can notify you in the app, by webhook or on Telegram.
- The right panel bar also opens the Watchlist, Screeners, Calendars, Community scripts and Notifications, and a paper trading panel under the chart practises orders on a simulated account, never real money.
- TV Pilot, the built-in chat assistant, is switched on per account by the site owner, so not every account has it.
Where the market data comes from
Indian symbols come from your own broker connection, if you add one on the Broker connections page, or from the site's Angel One feed for NSE, BSE, MCX and NFO. Forex and CFD symbols come from broker feeds, and some other markets use public data where the site has it. Charts update live when the market is open and the feed allows; outside market hours you see the last session's bars. Every account can load up to 40,000 bars of history per chart.
What it costs and what is free
Creating an account is free: you pick a user name and confirm your email with a 6-digit code. The Learn guides, the Help Center and the public community scripts library at /scripts can be read without an account.
SuperCharting is currently free to use. No paid plan is required today, and every account gets the same limits:

How to get started in SuperCharting
A first session takes about five minutes:
- Go to /signup, choose a user name and password, and type the 6-digit code from your email.
- The desk opens with a chart. Click the symbol name at the top left (Symbol Search), type
NIFTY,RELIANCEorXAUUSDand press Enter. - Click the interval button next to the symbol and pick 15 minutes, or choose Add custom interval… for something else.
- Click Indicators, search for
RSIand click it to add it below the price. - Pick Trend line from the left toolbar (on a phone, the round Draw button) and click two swing lows to draw it.
- Click Alert in the top toolbar to create a price alert at the level you care about.
- Your charts, indicators and drawings are saved to your account as you work. To keep this setup by name, open the Manage layouts arrow next to the layout name, choose Rename… and call it "Nifty intraday", then Save layout.
A practical example
Say you follow NSE:NIFTY on a 15-minute chart. Add a 20-period EMA and RSI with length 14, draw a horizontal line at yesterday's high, and set a price alert for "crossing" that line. Then press Replay, click a bar from last week and play the session forward at 3x to see how price behaved around similar levels, without peeking at the result.
Frequently asked questions
Do I need to install anything?
No. SuperCharting runs in a current desktop or phone browser. Read browser charting for how it works on each.
Is SuperCharting free?
It is currently free: no paid plan is required today, and every account gets the limits in the table above.
Is SuperCharting the same as TradingView?
No. SuperCharting is its own product with a familiar layout and support for Pine-compatible scripts. TradingView is a trademark of TradingView, Inc.; SuperCharting is not affiliated with it.
Do alerts work when my browser is closed?
Yes. Alerts are checked by SuperCharting, not by your open tab, so they fire while you are away and can reach you by webhook or Telegram.
Is the data real time?
Charts update live when the market is open and the feed for that symbol allows it. The source depends on the symbol and on whether you have connected your own broker.
