Multiple charts free: 16 charts per tab with sync, no paid plan
Open multiple charts free in SuperCharting: up to 16 charts per tab with symbol, interval and crosshair sync, layouts saved to your account, no paid plan.
You can open multiple charts free in SuperCharting: up to 16 charts in one tab, each with up to 50 indicators, with the symbol, interval and crosshair linked across them when you want. No paid plan is needed today; every account gets the same multi-chart limits. This page shows four practical grids, how sync behaves, and how to keep a large layout fast.
Multiple charts free: what every account gets
| Limit | Every account |
|---|---|
| Charts per tab | 16 |
| Grid shapes | From 2 to 16 charts, in rows, columns and mixed shapes |
| Indicators per chart | 50 |
| Indicators per page | 800 (16 x 50) |
| Bars per chart | up to 40,000 |
| Chart pages open at once | 200 |
These are SuperCharting's own limits, the same for everyone while the site is free. On TradingView, the number of charts per tab depends on the plan; its paid plans raise it. Check TradingView's pricing page for current figures.
Sync in layout: what links and what does not
Open the Layout setup button in the top bar. Under Sync in layout there are switches:
- Symbol: change the ticker on one chart and every chart in the grid follows. Leave it off to watch different markets.
- Interval: change the interval on one chart and all of them change. Leave it off for multi-timeframe views.
- Crosshair: on by default. Moving over one chart shows the same time on the others, which is how you line up a 5-minute candle with its hourly bar.
The same switches are in chart Settings on the Multi-chart page.
Drawings can follow too. The drawing sync button in the left toolbar ("New drawings are replicated to all charts in the layout and shown when the same ticker is selected") copies each new line or box to every chart in the grid showing the same symbol. A support line drawn on NSE:NIFTY 15m then appears on NSE:NIFTY 1h as well.
Four grids traders actually use
1. Multi-timeframe on one symbol (4 charts)
NSE:BANKNIFTY on 5m, 15m, 1h and 1D. Symbol sync on, interval sync off, crosshair on. Change the ticker once and all four timeframes move to the new symbol. Put the same indicator set on each with an indicator template.
2. One timeframe, four markets (4 charts)
XAUUSD, EURUSD, BTCUSD and NSE:NIFTY, all on 1h. Symbol sync off, interval sync on. Switch everything from 1h to 4h in one click to compare structure across markets.
3. Sector board (8 charts)
Eight bank stocks on 15m, for example NSE:HDFCBANK, NSE:ICICIBANK, NSE:SBIN, NSE:AXISBANK, NSE:KOTAKBANK, NSE:INDUSINDBK, NSE:BANKBARODA and NSE:PNB. Interval sync on, symbol sync off. It shows at a glance which names lead and which lag the sector. Add the same eight to a watchlist and use Alert on this list… to get one grouped alert across them; see watchlists and watchlist alerts.
4. Watch board (16 charts)
Sixteen symbols on one interval, each with a single moving average, for a morning scan of the market. With 16 small charts, keep the indicator count per chart low so each cell stays readable and quick to update.
How to set up multiple charts in SuperCharting
- Sign in and open any chart, for example
NSE:BANKNIFTYon 5m. - Click Layout setup in the top bar and choose a 4-chart grid.
- In the same menu, under Sync in layout, switch Symbol on and leave Interval off.
- Click each cell and set its interval: 15m, 1h and 1D.
- On the first chart add your indicators, then save them with Indicator templates and apply the template to the other three cells.
- Open the layout name menu in the top bar and choose Save layout, or Rename… to give it a name such as "BANKNIFTY MTF". Use Create new layout… for the sector board, and switch between them with Open layout… or Recently used.
- Open the same account on another computer: the layout, its charts, indicators and drawings are there.
Example: lining up an entry
On the multi-timeframe grid, the 1D chart shows NSE:BANKNIFTY near last week's high. Draw a horizontal line there with drawing sync on, and it appears on all four charts. Move the crosshair over the 5m chart where price touched the line, and the 15m, 1h and 1D charts show the same moment. This is a way to read the market, not a trade signal.
Keeping a large layout fast
Sixteen charts with many indicators is heavy for any charting site. A few habits help:
- Use fewer indicators on small cells; keep detailed studies on one or two large cells.
- Tick and seconds charts update on every quote; keep them to one or two cells.
- Close layouts you are not using. Each open chart page counts toward the 200 pages an account may have open.
- On a phone, use a 1- or 2-chart layout. A 16-chart grid is meant for a large screen; see mobile charting.

Frequently asked questions
How many charts can I open for free?
Up to 16 in one tab, and up to 200 chart pages open at once across tabs and devices. SuperCharting is currently free, so there is no plan to buy.
Can each chart have different indicators?
Yes. Each chart keeps its own indicators, up to 50 per chart, and its own drawings unless drawing sync is on.
Are layouts saved?
Yes. Layouts are saved to your account, with autosave in the layout menu, so they open in any browser you sign in on.
Can I sync time ranges across charts?
Use crosshair sync: it shows the same moment on every chart in the grid, whatever each chart's interval.
